Social Media Test Drive Program
Two of the challenges entrepreneurs face are the;
- Acquisition of new clients
- Upselling customers once an initial deal or purchase is made.
Paramount to overcoming these challenges is how we communicate before, during and after a sale is completed. If done right then the following types of benefit typically follows;
- Shortened sales cycles
- Increased chances of repeat business from a client.
- Helps develop business through referral
- Minimizes the chance the client will go to a competitor.
- Provides an opportunity for the customer to feedback advice/thoughts
Attempting to achieve anyone of the above takes time and increasingly the application of new business ideas.
One such technique which is gaining traction in the business community is the use of various forms of internet based social media networks to augment the traditional ways of establishing meaningful customer relationships. Because social media is now becoming more mainstream it is likely you may be facing competitive threats from the use of this technology.
High Five Business Limited provides hands-on consulting packages designed to get small businesses up and running with a number of internet based social media technologies. We help you maximise their advantage to your business.
Firstly let’s get beyond the hype and discuss what social media means for business.
Essentially social media networks allow businesses to establish or tap into networks of consumers who are interested in knowing about you. This isn’t a scattergun approach to marketing such as advertising in newspapers or on the radio. It will be likely that your communication on social media networks is being heard or read by people who want to know more about your business. Typically users of social media networks opt in to receiving communication or updates from their preferred sources of information. This allows businesses to focus and target their messages for their ‘followers’. While there are techniques to make your communication super effective, the underlying strength of social networks is the community ethos. Plus if you get your approach right then the network self replicates your messages. Its a sort of customer referral process which is sometimes called viral marketing.
There are 4 primary networks or services we offer guidance on. These are;
Early experience has shown that these technologies can be used to help drive better customer relationships. Of course you’ll see hype and exaggeration at times regarding these methods of customer interaction but we believe our hands-on approach to best practise is a great practical way for small businesses to learn and manage their use of these techniques.
So what does all this mean to you ?
Our ‘test drive’ program is designed to lead you through the setup, usage and success measurement of one or more techniques. You do not need to have a website to benefit from these technologies although having one can help to amplify the benefits. Our website is an example of a website that incorporates our twitter feed (to the right of this article) which means we have an extremely fast and simple way of keeping the website up to date.
Our services are always focussed on each individual business we deal with. However the core social media ‘test drive’ packages are as follows;
‘Solo’ Package: from £200 + VAT
Package includes;
- Twitter account setup
- Personalisation of your twitter account with a specially designed background to match with your existing branding. Check out how our twitter account looks similar to our corporate website as an example.
- Best practise guide to using twitter yourself
- Two laminated A4 posters especially designed with your twitter details on to be displayed in your premises
- 3 month managed service where we’ll update your twitter account on your behalf with agreed content at agreed times.
- We’ll help set up your mobile if you want to send your own tweets via sms
As part of the service we’ll be on hand to advise how you can maximise your use of twitter to develop your customer relationships
Remember that twitter accounts have unique names and you should aim to setup your account as soon as possible to ensure you get a name resembling your business.
‘Duo’ test drive: from £300 +VAT
This 3 month package is designed to introduce you to the benefits of two social media technologies, namely twitter and facebook.
We offer everything found in the solo test drive but also help you set up a personal facebook account and a group for your business. We’ll show you how facebook can be used as a light weight means of developing customer relationships. We keep this as straightforward as possible.
As part of the package you will also receive;
- Our best practise guide to using facebook for business
- Two laminated A4 posters with your twitter and facebook details on it for customers
- We’ll also setup your twitter and facebook to ‘integrate’ together to keep the amount of work you or we need to do to a minimum !
‘Four Up’ test drive: from £550 + VAT
This comprehensive test drive is a 3 month program and provides you with a comprehensive guide to 4 key social media technologies.
We will introduce you to twitter and facebook per the Duo test drive. These technologies are great for sustained communication with customers who are interested in hearing from you. We’ll take time to show you how people use these technologies so that over time you learn to craft your marketing messages in the most appropriate way
We’ll also set your business up on YouTube and help you construct two 60 second videos to upload onto YouTube. Eg if you’re a restaurant we suggest an interview with the head chef and perhaps a few seconds of kitchen action. Its unique, something to talk about and gives your staff some kudos. If you’re a clothes shop then why not add a one minute introduction to your January sale. Using YouTube coupled with facebook & twitter updates is a super way of communicating with customers and very different to the norm !
The fourth social media technology we’ll introduce you to is LinkedIn. This is a great business to business network and in some ways represents an extension to chamber of commerce type activity. On LinkedIn you can connect to other business contacts and plug into entrepreneurial discussions.
If you are already on LinkedIn we’ll take a look at your profile & company details to ensure they are working well for you and adhere to best practise
You’ll get our Linked-In best practise guide and we’ll introduce you to the groups best suited to your business.
We strongly suggest you join LinkedIn anyhow. For best practise advice and a 90 minute setup session we charge £70 plus VAT
